Collection: Kids

925 sterling silver jewellery for children — baby kada, nazariya bracelets, ghungroo anklets and charm bracelets. Nickel-free and hypoallergenic, hallmarked, and gift-boxed with an authenticity card.

Why silver for children

Silver is the traditional first metal for Indian babies, and it is also the safest. Infant skin is thinner and far more reactive than adult skin, and nickel — present in most cheap fashion metal — is the most common cause of contact rashes. 925 sterling silver is nickel-free, and being solid metal it does not wear through the way plating does against constant rubbing and saliva.

Safety first — the five checks

  1. No small detachable parts. Ghungroo bells must be firmly closed onto the chain.
  2. No sharp edges. Run it over your own inner wrist first.
  3. Correct fit — loose enough to move, tight enough not to slip off over the hand or foot.
  4. No neck chains on infants. Wrists and ankles only until the child is walking confidently.
  5. Remove it for sleep. Every time.

What to buy, and when

Baby kada is the classic naming-ceremony or first-birthday gift — choose adjustable, because babies outgrow a fixed size within months. Nazariya, the black-bead bracelet, is worn to ward off the evil eye and is usually a baby's first and longest-worn piece. Ghungroo anklets are genuinely useful as well as traditional — you can hear where a crawling child has got to.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe if the baby puts it in their mouth? Solid 925 silver is inert and non-toxic — that is exactly why it is the traditional choice. The risk is loose parts and poor fit, never the metal itself.

Why does my baby's silver darken so fast? Saliva and milk accelerate tarnish. It polishes off and does not mean the silver is fake.

Can boys wear nazariya? Yes — it is worn by babies of every gender.

How should I clean it? A soft dry cloth. Skip chemical dips on anything a child mouths — see the silver care guide.
