The names

All of these describe nose jewellery, and which you use depends on where you are from: binti and laung for the small stud, phuli for a flower-shaped pin, nath for the large ornamented hoop worn at weddings, and nose ring for the plain everyday hoop.

Which side?

Left is the more common side across most of India; right is traditional in parts of South India and among some communities in Maharashtra and Bengal; some communities pierce both. If no family tradition guides you, choose the side that suits your face.

Why the metal matters here

A nostril piercing takes four to six months to heal fully and stays metal-sensitive long after it stops hurting. Nickel is the most common cause of irritation and is present in most cheap fashion metal — all our silver is nickel-free 925 sterling.

One honest caveat: for a brand-new, unhealed piercing, follow your piercer's advice on initial jewellery. This range is intended for settled piercings.
